How do I subscribe to Sketch and Story?

When will my box arrive?
Boxes are dispatched around the 20th of every odd-numbered month (this means May, July, Sept, Nov etc). Dates may vary slightly due to holidays/weekends. It may take up to 3-4 working days for deliveries within the UK and around 1-2 weeks for international orders.
Why can't I subscribe when I want to?
Some subscription boxes are able to take unlimited orders on an ongoing basis, and that works for their business models. However, due to the fact that our products are made in small batches, I have to limit subscriptions to a fixed number that is sustainable for me personally, and sustainable for the makers that provide their beautiful creations. I feature local or handmade products where possible, and I hand-pack and hand-letter every single box - so there is a lot of heart and soul poured into each edition of Sketch and Story!
This does mean that sometimes there are not enough subscription slots for everyone, but if you drop me a message about joining the waitlist, I will inform you first and save the slot just for you for 24 hours. There are also sometimes previous boxes available so you may be able to grab a one-off box when subscription slots are not available.
What is the price of the Sketch and Story box?
Each box is always the same price, GBP 25 (whether you get it as part of the subscription or as a one-off box).
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. We are based in the UK so the postie may take slightly longer if you are based outside the UK.
How much will delivery cost?
Delivery is FREE within the UK! For our international subscribers, there is a small fee of £5.95 to cover delivery costs. Please note: we cannot say if your country imposes customs duties or other taxes as this will be different in each country, so please do check if this is an issue for you.

Please note that all our parcels are normally sent via Royal Mail standard shipping and we will not be responsible once parcels have been despatched.

Payment for the first box is charged on the day you subscribe. Your subscription payment is then renewed on the 1st of every odd-numbered month (May, July, September etc) after your first box has dispatched.

Sketch and Story is a surprise box! Part of the fun is in the unboxing and you never know what you are going to find. We can promise that the items we include will always be personally tested and curated so you'll love it when it arrives! How can I give Sketch and Story as a gift?
Please enter your gift recipient's name when entering the delivery address, or leave me a note of their name at checkout, because this will be the name I hand-letter on the box.
You will also be able to add a gift message at checkout for the recipient and I will handwrite this message in the box for you!
How can I pause, skip a box or cancel?
You can login to your account HERE, then under the title My Subscriptions, click "Manage". This is where you can pause your subscription, skip the next box, or cancel.
If I cancel do I still get a refund?
You can unsubscribe/cancel at any time but please be aware that if you do so after the renewal for that month's box (renewals go through on the 1st), you will still receive that month's box, and cancellation will be effective from the following month onwards. Canceling your subscription only stops the ongoing subscription and prevents any more payments being taken. You will still be sent any boxes you had previously paid for before cancelling. If you find your art stash is getting out of hand, you can always pause your subscription or skip a delivery.
